I have been personally in charge of a smaller office for some time now, and I have contacts managing IT departments, office, and executive level procurement. For that reason I will be maintaining a list of commonly bought gear from simple things like chargers, cables and peripherals, to larger purchases such as cameras, computers & more.
All of this based on real world long term testing because some stuff just doesn't cut it in the long term and using the term office essentials means it will work when you need it without worrying. When you find certain products that work we can only hope they don't make significant changes to them in the future, but when they do the new choices will be found here!
Anker products
I have been buying #anker charging cables, docking stations, card readers... everything, for years. They offer a massive range of excellent products now and generally are my first choice when I need small accessories.
Anker Prime Docking Station I have ordered about 60 of these in the last few years for small office integration and they're small & work great. Great for monitoring power usage as well with the display.
Anker USBc 20w charging pack In my experience I am constantly ordering these as everyone seems to lose or need several sets, but these with USB & USBc are perfect options for any phones or tablets. $6 coupon on amazon at this time so don't forget to clip that before you add to cart!
#AnkerZolo Magnetic Wireless charger I love having these around as options for people, and these magnetic versions are much more user friendly than the original non magnetic ones. Very convenient to be able to just set your phone down here to charge.
#AnkerSOLIX C300 Portable Power Station I do like having at least some form of smaller portable backup, and it is great for emergency or last minute field related situations. I had someone need to setup a small presentation that was outdoors enough to not have access to standard power and this thing more than managed several devices for over an hour seamlessly. Quite impressive and scalable with #solarpower expansion.
Logitech products
Another staple in the majority of offices these days are #logitech products. They've been proven for years and offer solutions for most all office needs. Some of my go to items from them would be webcams for meetings, keyboards & mice as their bread and butter, and headsets.
Logitech M510 wireless mouse These are a go to for a basic office mouse for me. Simple and effective, not too big or small, good battery life.
Logitech Keys to Go 2 portable keyboard Now this is a newer edition to my list, but a good one that is very capable and compatible with nearly any device that supports bluetooth. These work as keyboards for #Windowsdevices, #Android devices, they work with Linux, iPads, iPhones, #Macbooks, Apple TV and the list goes on and on.
Logitech MX Brio 4k Ultra HD Collaboration & streaming webcam If your organization is regularly utilizing #Zoom or #MSteams this are a great option if quality and clarity are highly important, (which it should be). With #4kUHD and an ultrawide lens this is the closest you can get to your out of state or country coworkers without being there.
Logitech Zone Vibe 100 Lightweight Wireless Headphones noise canceling microphone. I much prefer spending a few extra dollars to get an easy to use, comfy and good sounding pair of headphones for office workers. I can remember the days of the cheap little on ear headsets that sounded awful and gave you a headache. No more with these, plus they're bluetooth compatible so employees can pair them to their phones, tablets etc.
Lenovo products
#Lenovothinkpad X1 Carbon Gen12 - These are the go to option for enterprise mobile computer needs. They're built very well and come standard with great components.
This 12th gen comes standard with 32GBs of super fast DDR5X ram, a 1TB m.2 SSD and an intel Core Ultra 7 CPU. It can and will handle anything you throw at it from meetings to presentations to average deskwork and beyond.
Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 3i If you are still using standalone desktops for any applications a great place to start is with one of these #ideacentre desktops.
27" FHD Touch Display (very handy) 5MP built in webcam, Windows 11, 8GB DDR4 Ram, 512GB HDD Intel Core i5-1240P and the Mouse & Keyboard are Included
